ARTISTIC JOURNEY

Art has always held a special place in Susie's heart, stemming from her school days and the influence of her artist grandmother. Despite excelling in art and winning prizes at school, her academic pursuits took precedence during her higher education years. However, a turning point emerged during the pandemic-induced furlough period and the passing of her father, reigniting her love for painting and drawing.

Embracing this renewed passion, Susie decided to share her artworks online, leading to some successful sales. In 2025, she made a dedicated commitment to nurturing her artistic talents by joining a local art group. This journey signifies Susie's profound re-connection with her creative roots, demonstrating how genuine passions have an innate ability to resurface and flourish.

Susie particularly enjoys working with acrylics and pen/pencil sketches. She is keen to try oil painting and other pouring techniques. Her art work is often inspired by the sea and landscapes, sunsets, clouds and nature. She produces works painted on plywood, stones, canvas and paper.
